Which products are available?

Rascals and Princesses is specialised in high-quality children’s and young adult books for ages 0-18. Because there are so many books available, we mainly select the ones that appeal to us personally. Our choice is determined by several factors; because a (picture) book is breathtakingly beautiful, funny, moving, or informative; because it reads easily, has its own voice, is literary or a great leasurely read; or even better: a combination of all of these. We grant a little “book heart” to the books that really make our hearts race , because we choose from the heart. In this way, we hope to give you some guidance in what can sometimes feel like an overwhelming range of books.

You may not find all of the books that are out on the market in our shop, but you will find a carefully selected and varied mixture. We also believe that good books deserve to be in the spotlight longer than a mere few months. That is why we do not only pay attention to new books, but also to books that are a little bit “older”. Or as someone once said: “Books are new until they are discovered by the reader”. 

Of course we don’t know every book that exists. If you find that a title is missing in our database, then please don’t hesitate and let us know. We will make sure to check if we can order the book for you. Please keep in mind that you will usually not find books in our assortment that are out of print at the publisher, unless we still have a copy in our stock. 

We are also always looking for nice gadgets to expand our shopping assortment.

 

How can I search the database for a book?

You can enter (part of) the title of a book, a keyword, the author’s name, an illustrator, a publisher or ISBN number in the search bar. Underneath the search bar you will find more information about the different search options. You can also use our helpful shop assistant, who will offer you a number of suggestion.

 

Can I order a book that is not in stock and how long does it take?

If a book is marked as “not in stock” we will be glad to order it for you. The delivery period depends on the supplier. We will specify the estimated time of delivery for each book.

 

I cannot find the book I am looking for in the online shop. Can I order it anyway?

If you cannot find a book in our online catalogue, please send an e-mail to info@rascalsandprincesses.com and we will verify whether the book can be ordered.

 

How do I know if my order has been accepted?

After your order has been completed, you will receive an automatic confirmation e-mail.

 

Can I track the progress of my order?

When your order has been confirmed, you will receive an e-mail with a link to the order status page. You can also track the status of your order when you log in to your account. We send our orders through Bpost or TNT post parcel service.

 

Can my book be wrapped as a gift?

Rascals and Princesses has a helpful wrapping fairy. She wraps gifts for free. You can even choose your preferred wrapping paper. And if you want, we can write a card with a personal message for the lucky addressee.

 

How can I create a list?

It is easy and fun to make a personal book list. You can make lists for different occasions such as for births, birthdays, holidays, your classroom, book pocket money, ...

Click on “lists”, create an account or log in if you already have one. Once you have created your list, select a password and enter the e-mail addresses of the people you want to invite. They can log in with the password and follow up which books have already been selected.

 

How do I pay and is it secure?

We offer a few different payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, online banking KBC/CBC-online and Dexia Direct Net, Bancontact/MisterCash and bank transfer. We work with payment provider Ogone e-Commerce, specialised in secure online payments. The exchange of sensitive information – like your credit card number - only takes place between the customer and the secured Ogone e-Commerce website via a secured connection. Rascals and Princesses or other third parties have no access to this information. When you are entering your credit card number you are no longer on our servers, but on the secured servers of Ogone e-Commerce. This transfer takes place after the last step of your order, as soon as you click on the “Pay” button.

 

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Transfers can be made through Belfius to account number 068-8900985-01 / IBAN BE 43 0688 9009 8501 - BIC GKCCBEBB. Please make sure to state the order number. Your order will be sent as soon as we have received the payment.

 

Can I pay in cash?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay in cash.

 

Can I request an invoice?

By default, an e-mail invoice is sent out with every order.

 

What are the shipping costs?

Rascals and Princesses delivers in Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg at the fixed rate of 4.50 Euros per order. Delivery is free for orders of 50.00 Euros or more.

 

Which postal service will deliver my orders?

We send our orders through Bpost or TNT post parcel service.

 

When will my order be delivered?

Books wich are in stock and ordered before 5pm are usually dispatched the same day by our warehouse. It takes 1 to 2 working days for the books to be delivered. Books that are not in stock are delivered in +/- 5 to 7 working days.

 

Can I have the order delivered to an address of my choice?

You can choose to which address we send your purchase. You will be asked to specify the address when the order is billed.

 

Do you also deliver abroad?

At the moment we can only deliver in the EU, Norway and the USA. For shipments to other countries, please contact us at: info@rascalsandprincesses.com.

 

What if I want to return a book?

No problem. Rascals and Princesses exchanges all undamaged books up to 14 calendar days after the purchase date. No questions asked. Send us an e-mail if you want to return a book or another product: info@rascalsandprincesses.com.

 

What if the book was damaged when I received it?

That is annoying, because we take the utmost care when packaging our books. Obviously we want to take care of the problem. If the damage is to the book cover, this should be reported within 48 hours after receipt. If not, we will assume that the damage was caused by personal use and the book will no longer be accepted for exchange. If you discover any misprints in the book while reading, these can be reported and exchanged at any time.
